Hello
Let me introduce myself - I started running at school. I was the left wing on my schools rugby team. Aged 15, I injured my back in a match. Thankfully, we had a new teacher who loved cross country getting lots of us running properly. I became my schools cross country captain and kept training into my early 20s. Work got in the way for a few years, but in 2004, picked running back up properly.

What's my preferred kind of running? I Iove every type of running - on the road, trail, track and cross-country. All bring something different to how we run - finding ways to put all of this in your running will make you a stronger runner. I don't believe age is a barrier to being a good runner. I've recently turned 50, and ran Mancheser marathon in a time of 2hrs 38 mins.

I started my coaching journey in 2014, ganing my qualifications with England athletics, and subsequent qualifications in bio-mechanical analysis with the running school. I'm finishing a diploma in Health coaching and nutrition. I coach sessions at my running club, but coach all kinds of runners from those starting out to sub 2hr 40 marathon runners. I also help runners with their strength work.

I'm also the Event director of Stretford parkrun, one of the country's largest weekly free 5k runs, welcoming 500+ runners and walkers each week.
I passionately believe we need to take care of our own health. We should all be moving, we should all be doing strength and mobility focused exercise. I'm always in awe of the people I work with, seeing them progress towards their goal, and I'll love to see if I can help you achieve yours.
